Carmen comes to the Detroit Opera House
The classic French opera, Carmen will grace the stage of the Detroit Opera House May 9th, 10th, 13th, and 15-17th . Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Sundays. A Tribute to Detroit TV Legends
Were you a major fan of John Kelly and Marilyn Turner's daily show? Couldn't start your mornings without Amyre Makupson'? Then then you will definitely enjoy and appreciate The Detroit Historical Society's new exhibit. The museum 's new exhibit, Detroit’s Classic TV Personalities is now open to the public. The exhibit celebrates the legacy, humor, and designation that seven Detroit TV hosts brought to the the motor city. The seven hosts recognized are: Bill Kennedy, Soupy Sales, Bill Bonds, Emery King, Amyre Makupson, John Kelly and Marilyn Turner. Each personality brought their own flare and style to Detroit media and the television that could not to be forgotten. The Detroit Historical Museum honors them and their special place in Detroit with the new exhibit.
