Black was not only the trend but it was an important movement for tonight's Golden Globes. In soladity of those affected about sexual misconduct, guests to the big event wore black to show their support. I absolutely love the message and find the color perfect for the red carpet. With that being said, tonight really showcased who really knows their fashion.
There were so many disappointments, as some hid behind the color black instead of shining. Many just didn't rise to the occasion. A lot of the looks were too safe and boring. As a result, the men really showed up many of the starlets. But there were some celebrities who really did werk it, shining brightly. Issa Rae completely got it right. Rae was fierce, classy and stunning in a black Prabal Gurung gown. The slit and simple black scrappy shoes were sexy and precise. The green-dropped necklace added the perfect touch of color and glam. She was my number 1 pick tonight for all of these reasons. Check out the rest of my favorites below:
