Black History Month: Bessie Coleman

Bessie Coleman was the first African American woman to  earn a pilot's license. Because of the racial and gender discrimination at the time, Coleman earned her license by moving to France. She became known for her aerial tricks and stunts. And she would eventually become the  first African American woman to take flight in the United States.
