Empowered Flower Girl LLC enpowers young girls

Giving Back & Self-Enpowerment. With so many everyday-pressures and growing pains, teens and pre-teens may feel trapped to conform. It's easy to feel obligated to follow the crowd rather than uphold the confidence to be your own person.

But Rasheda Kamaria is setting out to motivate youth to believe otherwise--believe in themselves with her organization, Enpowered Flower Girl. Kamaria is a long-time mentor, dance instructor, and writer who created EFG in 2010. I sat down with Kamaria who shared her purpose for EFG and its significance.

What is the primary focus of EFG?
"I wanted to start a company that inspires young people and celebrates their contributions to society. Some youth have been conditioned to think their age limits them. The Enpowered Flower Girl embraces youth and empowers each individual to live without limits. I believe this can be achieved by mentoring and coaching them."

In January, EFG will dedicate its site to mentoring and promoting the State of Michigan's 'Mentor Michigan"resource center and Mentoring.org.
