After several months ,the special Detroit mayoral election has finally arrived. Yet it might be difficult for people to choose between Dave Bing and Ken Cockrel Jr. The two candidates, vying to be Detroit's new mayor couldn't be any more different. Bing is an NBA hall of famer and activist while Cokrel is a former journalist and Wayne County Commsioner. Between the struggling economy and auto industry, massive job loss, and the major text message scandal between Kwame Kilpatrick and Christine Beatty, Detroit has endured a rough time this past year. Therefore, it seems the city of Detroit will need a strong leader . Who to choose?
