The Run For The Ribbon 5K Walk/Run

Here's a reason worth running for! The Run For The Ribbon 5K Walk/Run will take place at the Detroit Zoo on Sunday June 21, 2009 at 8 a.m. The Ribbon 5k Walk/Run is dedicated towards raising money and support for the fight against prostate cancer.Participation is encouraged in any form: sponsoring someone, donate money, or by simply walking and running in the race as an individual or alongside a friend. Bill Rodgers, a four time Boston Marathon and NYC Marathon Champion and Prostate Cancer survivor, will be the guest runner. Proceeds from the event go towards a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that will benefit Prostate Cancer awareness, treatment and research in Southeastern Michigan.
