2009 Walk like MADD Fundraising Walk 9/26


Save a life and help prevent drunk driving by lending your feet and time. Every year thousands of people are injured or killed by drunk drivers. You can help do something about it! MADD is holding its 5th Annual Walk like MADD 5K Walk, in Metro Detroit . ‘Walk like MADD is a non-competitive walk for corporations and individuals to team up with MADD in “keeping our communities safe.” '

The fair will include over 100 artists and local foods. The community will be invited to create their own art masterpieces. Summer might be over but the fun in the sun doesn't have to end! The Troy Daze Festival brings out 100,000 people every year and is back from September 17-20. The festival will celebrate the community with numerous activities that include rides, plenty of food, Health Fair sponsored by Beaumont Hospital, photography, art, and much more! Rides are 10 for $10.Pre-parking passes are $6. Parking passes at the door are $10.The festival will take place at Boulan Park between Big Beaver and Wattles road. Arts, Beats, & Eats Festival September 4-7

The annual Arts, Beats, & Eats Festival is back with plenty of great food, music, and art for all to enjoy! 50 restaurants, 200 performers, and 100 art exhibitors are pulling out all the stops for this year’s festival. Arts, Beats, and Eats is September 4-7 from 11 a.m. to 10p.m. Friday through Sunday and from 11a.m. to 8p.m. on Monday. This year’s festival will feature DPTV PBS Kids Club, The HealthPlus Art Fair, Soaring Eagle Giveaways and Getaways, ITC Greenways’ non-profit environmental exhibits, three Flagstar Bank Relaxation Stations, and more than 125 bands. Admission is $2 this year to make up for the lost sponsorship. However, proceeds will be split among local non-profit organizations. The food ticket prices vary.
