HAPPY BIRTHDAY DETROIT!!!

Celebrating a City's Milestone
Do you know what today is? If not , then you might be interested to know that today marks Detroit's 308th birthday. Often times, Detroit has been talked about and seen in a negative light. But it's pretty impressive that even during all its hard times, the Motor City is still standing and thriving with a unique culture of its own. All you have to do is take a look around. If you step downtown you're immersed in city pride: the Joe Louis fist, the roar and excitement of the crowd that echos from a game at Comerica Park, the Red Wings jersey draped on the spirit of Detroit, and the glistening of the Detroit river water on a summer day. Or take a visit to the Motown Museum and you're sure to appreciate the place that made people like The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, and the Jackson 5 a success.Detroit is not your typical city by any means. And I think Detroiters prefer it that way. No matter what people say , Detroit is a historical and beautiful city to live in. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DETROIT!!!
